Human-Robot Interaction in Groups: Methodological and Research Practices

Understanding the behavioral dynamics that underline human-robot interactions in groups remains one of core challenges social robotics research. However, despite a growing interest this topic, there is still lack established and validated measures allow researchers to analyze group scenarios; very few have been developed tested specifically for research conducted in-the-wild. This problem because it hinders development general models interaction, makes comprehension inner workings relational between humans robots, contexts, significantly more difficult. In paper, we aim provide reflection on current state interaction small groups, as well outline directions future with an emphasis methodological transversal issues.
